Google created Google+ as its final solid attempt to make a go of social networking and keep Facebook ranked the second most popular website protecting their own reign at the top, so the news that the most popular person is Mark Zuckerberg the Facebook creator hast o be a bit of a slap on the face. On Tuesday of this week, the Facebook head had about 30,000 followers, and the number continues to grow proving that it is hard to beat the king of social networking at his own game, as he obviously understands the perks of social media use.

Social networking has made it clear that one of the largest components of the web is social interaction, which is the basis for the creation of Google+, a social vehicle that aims to make life a bit simpler online. In order to do this, Google created Google+ filled with different products that will help you control your social interactions. For example, Circles is a new feature that allows you to place people in their own circles, such as your family, friends, or certain groups of friends that will let you direct where you want your social comments to go towards.

Google goes social as it launches plus one

Google launched a new product today for its web results that is basically its own version of the Facebook ‘like’ button titled the ‘Plus One‘. The button allows users to offer the search results they like a ‘plus one’ so that friends and family members who use the same search function on a computer can see what results you have already approved. At the moment only about 2% of the US population of computer users has access to the function but as the new tool is expanded it is likely to rival the Facebook like that is already on thousands of websites.
